About Two Maids & A Mop Charlotte

Hi, we’re Elizabeth and Chip Cannon, owners and managers of the maid service team at Two Maids & A Mop of Charlotte. When we moved to the Queen City in 2004, we found a home. Both graduates of the University of Georgia, we’d lived short stints in Charleston, SC, and Atlanta, GA, before taking a chance on Charlotte for a work-related move – and we love it here!

Before opening Two Maids, Elizabeth was a glass and jewelry artist before becoming a stay-at-home Mom for our daughter Mille. Chip spent over a decade as a partner in a local civil engineering/landscape architecture firm before deciding it was time to turn his focus back to family. We wanted to find an opportunity to invest in our family’s future while helping others.

Our opportunity presented itself during a chance phone call with the Two Maids & A Mop founder in early 2015. After learning more about the story of Two Maids and discovering the company shares many of our same values, we decided to take another chance. In April of 2016, we opened Two Maids & A Mop of Charlotte. The ‘Pay For Performance Plan’ really caught our attention as a way to engage customers and motivate employees and it works great.

Maid service is our job, but our purpose every day is to make someone else’s day better. It may be our client who hasn’t had time to clean between her hectic job and busy kids and walks into a perfectly clean home after another long day. It may be one of our employees who needs a little extra love and support this morning and is greeted with smiles by her work family and gets to clean with a fun, awesome partner. Or it may be a cancer patient undergoing treatment who is a recipient of a free cleaning we donate through the Cleaning for a Reason foundation.

At the end of the day, we’re proud knowing we’ve made someone’s day better. At Two Maids & A Mop of Charlotte, we strive to provide the best experience possible – from first impression and our professional house cleaners to our great customer service and your clean home!
